Douglas has been playing and composing music since he was a kid growing up
in central Missouri. He’s directed music for The Second City of Chicago International Tour Company, Esther’s Follies Of Austin Texas, ComedySportz, The Improv Olympic, Lonestar Comedy and countless theater and comedy troupes across the US. Douglas has performed live with such talents as John Lovitz, John Goodman and Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark). He was owner/operator and artistic direct for Dallas’ West End Comedy Theater and produced the 2005 Dallas Comedy Festival. He has collaborated with numerous theaters including the Hideout Theater Austin Texas, The Institution Theater, Upstaged Theater, and MerlinWorks in developing and teaching song improv workshops, classes, and performances in both traditional and virtual settings. Douglas is also the creator of the interactive theater productions Bubba and Babe’s Backwoods Texas Wedding and The Texcentric Radio Hour and founder of the four piece female vocal group, Buster Park and the founder of the Austin based hokum band, Hillbilly Honey.
